ATLIENS: 25th Anniversary collection celebrating the classic album from Hip Hops greatest duo, Outkast.
B/R teamed up with Andre 3000 and Big Boi of Outkast to create a special line of merchandise that highlights one of hip hops greatest albums of all time. The entire collection consisted of hoodies, hats, sweats, pins but nothing was as special as the custom Atlanta Braves inspired ATLiens Jersey.
THE PROJECT & CHALLENGE
Big thanks to the Loyalist who reached out to help assist their clients with this huge project with a very tight deadline. To execute these insane details in this timeline to get to photoshoot for Big Boi were bananas. But we only needed 1 iteration to get it correct. Designs were created based on the iconic hip hop album meshed with the home town team, The Braves. Various elements from over 5 different embroidery applications to layers of different twill applications were constructed in a way in which pushed our creative and production capabilities into the elevator and up to knew levels.
SUMMARY
Growing up on 90s hip hop as a kid there are certain artists and albums that resonate to this day. ATLiens from Outkast is one of them. Beyond blessed to help be part of sports jersey history with the creation of a classic. I got texts from friends in Atlanta saying they see everyone wearing them - Even their mama and cousins too. The dopest feeling was seeing the legend Big Boi himself flexing with something we made.
